Really like the colors!
But the character seems to be leaning to the right a bit too much.
Also the sun in the corner. There's nothing wrong with that, but it makes the piece look more elementary. But hey if that's the aesthetic that your going for, I'm not judging!
The shading on the character seems too light (though this is just my personal preference) I would like to see the places under the shorts and under the neck to be more dark.
The composition of the piece is very simple. It would be more interesting to see the character eating with his friends by the beach. Or playing volleyball. Or doing some sort of beach activity.
Now there's nothing wrong with a simple composition, but this piece doesn't say much about the character and there is lots of confusion.
Is that a look of disgust? Is he talking to someone? Why is there no condiments on the hotdog?
Having a more complex scenery and adding characters can answer these questions (especially the last one, who eats a hotdog without condiments?)
Anyways, sketching multiple thumbnails before drawing can help make a more complex drawing and put down some good ideas before drawing.
Also one of my art instructors said this but it's good to, "Kill your darlings" this means to don't stick with the first idea you've made. Make multiple thumbnails, maybe your first idea isn't the best idea of the bunch and you might want to use another idea you've come up with.
Anyways I'm sorry for roasting you, hopefully I don't come off as a rude person. Also I'm sorry if my english is bad.

This image is 1 of 3 that combine together. Its also made to be used as a phone wallpaper so its intentional empty looking.

and the hotdog part gave me a good chuckle. (I actually like my dogs with nothing but thats beside the point.)
